We partnered with the La Trobe University Care Economy Research Institute (CERI) to design a 31-page research report commissioned by the Victorian Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (Ovens Murray Area). The research provides a critical overview of evidence-based strategies to address youth violence, combining an umbrella literature review with secondary data analysis of justice-involved youth in the region.

Given the complexity of the socio-economic drivers behind youth violence, our design strategy was intentionally aspirational and uplifting. We moved away from the negative visual tropes often associated with youth justice, instead selecting positive, high-energy photography to focus on the potential and resilience of young people. By pairing this imagery with a bold colour palette and clean typography, we translated complex prevention science and data monitoring into an approachable and accessible document. Our goal was to create a visual framework that supports integrated, responsive service delivery while honouring the humanity of the vulnerable youth at the centre of the research.

“Julia [Founder of Cambium Studios] has been a reliable and professional collaborator across two research reports. Her graphic design work elevated the quality of our publications — particularly her data visualisations, where thoughtful colour choices genuinely strengthened how findings were communicated. She has transparent pricing, excellent attention to detail, and was responsive and easy to work with. I'd recommend her services to anyone producing policy or research documents..”
